Lyman Louis Lemnitzer (August 29, 1899 – November 12, 1988) was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He received his commission in the Coast Artillery Corps from West Point in 1920 and was an instructor at West Point from 1926 to 1930, and again in 1934 and 1935. Charles Kenon Gailey (May 14, 1901-May 21, 1966) was born in Conyers, Georgia. He received his commission in the infantry from West Point in 1920, and advanced to the rank of brigadier general in January 1945. George Henry Decker (1902-1980) was born in Catskill, New York. He earned a B.S. degree from Lafayette College in 1924 and commissioned in the infantry in the same year.
